Kimberly & Eric - T'laquepaque Wedding in Sedona

This was a very special wedding for me to be a part of. I have known Kimberly and her family for many, many years, and consider her one of my dearest friends. I remember when she and Eric first started dating years ago, so to be a part of this special day was such a treat for me. They wanted an elegant wedding, with pops of purple (Kimberly’s FAV color), and wanted it warm and inviting for all of their guests to feel at home. They found Tlaquepaque and just fell in love with it (how could you not). They are both foodies and wanted to ensure their guests were spoiled with amazing food - they did not disappoint! Every detail was thought out so perfectly - butterflies on her shoes transferred to butterflies as the escort cards, purple glitter in the champagne to keep the color represented throughout the day, and of course their classic design blended perfectly with the warmth of the property.

We had such an amazing team to bring everything together and make the day absolutely perfect for this special couple. Congratulations, again, Kimberly and Eric!

After a dreadful 2020, Carson and Garrett’s wedding was our first full wedding of 2021 and boy was it a breath of fresh air! Jennifer & Grant - McCormick Ranch Golf Club Wedding

Working with Jennifer and Grant was just a dream wedding. Jennifer hired us to come in during the final few months and assist her with the confirmation, loose ends and execution of all her planning and hard work. Sometimes when we come in to situations like that, there is a LOT to to and to fix and things can be a little messy. That was not the case here. Jennifer had a beautiful vision for what she wanted her wedding to look like and how she wanted it to feel. With a few last minute small additions to her decor and a fantastic group of friends and family, we could not be more please with how her day turned out. They were a joyful bunch, had an absolute blast all day and both the decor and the bride and groom were just stunning. A huge bonus was working with the wonderful Melissa at McCormick Ranch Golf Club, one of favorite florist friends, Sarah’s Garden and our great friends at Andrew Jade Photography!

Eileen & Jeff - JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Wedding

What a great way to start the new year; we could not have asked for a more amazing couple than Eileen and Jeff to kick off our 2017 weddings!  Eileen and Jeff wanted to make this an experiential weekend for their guests, so we started the festivities with a nice welcome dinner for all out of town family members. The South West dinner showcased cuisine customized just for this dinner from The Camelback Inn's Rita's Kitchen. Because Eileen didn't have a traditional bridal shower, she wanted to honor all the special women in her life with a Mother's and Daughter's Holiday Tea.  This was also hosted at The Camelback Inn, and allowed all of her guests to bring a special woman in their life (mother, sister, daughter or best friend) to enjoy a traditional Tea Service.  We had a lot of fun coming up with a bright, colorful tablescape and a delicious menu.  Saturday, was Jeff's birthday, and thankfully the weather held long enough so the family could celebrate Jeff's birthday with a lovely dinner outside on the patio.  Although the weather didn't hold to our liking for the main ceremony on Sunday, Eileen and Jeff's wedding was beautiful and we would not have changed a thing!  The family started the morning by attending church service together, and received a special blessing from their congregation's pastor, then came back to the resort to  get ready for the evening's ceremony and reception.  We were very fortunate to get a little blue sky for the first look - which turned out amazing!  The intimate ceremony and dinner reception that featured Eileen's french heritage and Jeff's love for the west, was perfectly melded together throughout their decor and cuisine. I must say, Eileen's attention to detail throughout the menu and decor elements really made this a special day for us, and of course them! Congratulations again, Eileen and Jeff!

Oh, our Stefanie and Kent's wedding day, I have SO much I could write about these two and what I loved about this day. It was such a refreshing change to have some beautiful bright colors and lots of sparkly gold! Everything about this wedding was just stunning. Petal Pusher knocked it out of the park on these floral arrangements and or experience at the Four Seasons Scottsdale was top notch. From start to finish it was a beautiful day filled with laughs and lots of energy. EVERY single time I checked on the groom and groomsmen, they were rehearsing hard for their surprise performance for the bride and it paid off. One of my top 5 favorite moments of all time! It's True! I'm Blogging! Jessie & Avi's wedding...

So, it has obviously been awhile since I did a blog. OK, more than awhile. A Day to Cherish had our busiest fall wedding season ever, some major changes over the winter and another busy spring of amazing events. We have truly had some of the most wonderful weddings in the last 8 months and clients that I can't rave about enough. Wedding days are LONG days for us, but when you just love the couple....and even the entire family you are working with, it doesn't seem like work!

This is part of the reason I am so motivated to blog! Jessie and Avi were just one of those couples. Despite a last minute weather change to move the ceremony for almost 250 guests indoors, this was one of the most fun weddings of the spring! We loved the whole theme of the wedding, using Tangles as centerpieces and decor to tie into the abstract and artsy style of the Phoenix Art Museum all the way down to one of the BEST parties I have seen at a wedding. The Shining Star Band kept the ENTIRE crowd on thier feet until the last song and these amazing images from Stuart at Eyes 2 See Photography capture the mood, tradition, warmth and just plain fun of the entire day. It was such a pleasure for us to be a part of this wedding and work with a rockstar crew of vendors!

Featured couple - Jamie & Sam

A Day to Cherish is so blessed right now. Not only is 2011 already shaping up to be a great year, but we currently have some really amazing and fun couples! We already have the pleasure of working with couples on one of the most important and exciting times in thier lives but to add to that, enjoying spending time with our great clients makes work even more FUN! 

I want to introduce you to Jamie and Samer. Two of the cutest, sweetest people you have ever met. I don't think either of them has a mean bone in their body and working with them has been such a great experience. When asking the couple to describe each other Jamie says of Sam: ' I would describe Sam as genuine, very caring & loving, honest and intelligent.' Sam describes Jamie as: ' Beautiful, loving, the sunshine in my life and my best friend'. It just doesn't get any more adorable than that!

Jamie and Sam  not only have a great love for each other but for life! They enjoy hiking, traveling, running and many other activities together. Jamie and Sam wed last Saturday at Desert Botanical Gardens, and while we wait anxiously for the wedding day photos, we thought we would blog these engagement pictures taken by the Kimberly Jarman Stuidos associate photographer to celebrate their recent marriage.
