Sometimes you meet a client and you are really excited to work with them, not just because their wedding will be beautiful, or they chose a nice venue, but because you like them and would hang out with them on the weekends! That is how I felt working with Carolyn and Rich. They were really great, down to earth and being involved in the planning of their wedding from start to finish was a blessing. Emily & Rahul - Paradise Valley Country Club Wedding

I am so excited to finally share these photos from Emily and Rahul's wedding. Working at Paradise Valley Country Club is always a pleasure and with an amazing array of vendors on board, things went off without a hitch. The traditional Norwegian Kransekake and Swedish Princess Cake were just two of our favorite touches that made this a special and tradition oriented event for the families of both the bride and groom. Add to that breathtaking floral from Avant Garde and a very lively party with Shining Star band and you have yourself quite a wonderful evening. Thanks to Illume Photography for sharing the images with us. I have a feeling Emily made their job easy, what a stunning bride! Congratulation to our happy couple!

Brooke & Jake - Brophy Chapel and Grayhawk Golf Club Wedding

Erica & Wade - Venue at the Grove Wedding

What can we say about Wade and Erica....they are pretty much just awesome. I loved every moment of working with them and every moment of their wedding day. Wade is one of the most genuinely kind people I have ever met. He just looks nice and then you meet him, and he really truly IS. And Erica is a riot, she is so sweet, hilarious and a blast to be around (FUN bridal suite!). They are a great pair and complement each other wonderfully. This spring, we got to watch these two walk down the aisle and party the night away at Venue at the Grove. It's the type of day that makes working not feel like work, and their wedding was just beautiful! Andrew Jade Photography did a stellar job at capturing some really special moments and all the little touches that made this wedding so personal to Erica and Wade. Make sure to check out the gorgeous veil that Erica is wearing, made straight out of her mother's wedding dress, it was SO stunning!

Melanie & Craig - Arcosanti Wedding

One of the best parts of my job is that every wedding is different. I LOVE creating a story and reflecting the personalities of my couples in fun and different venues. Melanie and Craig had the most unique and fun style. Everything about their wedding was very personalized and it turned out just stunning. From the dress, to the shoes (WOW!), to the invitations they designed themselves and wine bottles that they took the time to individually cut it was truly a reflection of their artistic and creative personalities. It was such a pleasure to work with them and watch their ideas come to life. And we were also lucky to have it all captured SO beautifully by the fantastic Mike Olbinski Photography!

Marlena & Blake - Arizona Biltmore Wedding

Kym & Jay - Montelucia Resort & Spa Wedding

  Kym and Jay's wedding at the Montelucia was one of my favorite to date. The two of them are such a fantastic pair together, they compliment each other perfectly, have a great sense of style, and definitely know how to have a good time. When we first spoke, they described their wedding vision as a mix of New York, meets Arizona, meets Paris with a little bit of Justin Timberlake thrown in! It was elegant, natural and perfectly 'Kym and Jay'. We had a surprise performance from the ASU Pitchforks, singing their acapella version of 'Mirrors' while the bride and groom recessed from the ceremony, it was a goosebumps (and tears) worthy moment! Sara is a bride I really wish I had more time to get to know, she was a girl after my own heart. A list-maker, type A, organized and decisive. Today I wanted to share Angela and Joe's wedding, it is WAY over due as we worked with them in 2013 but it was too good not to share. Angela was the true definition of a  DIY bride. She had a vision and she went to work to make it happen, we were so lucky that she chose (and trusted) us to execute her vision on the big day. Most of her details she made or purchased herself and handed over a FULL SUV full (plus more) of things for us to set up on wedding day. We had so much fun working with this couple and making Angela's vision come to life for her while she drank champagne and got her hair done! Tammie & Jim - Private Residence Wedding, Lake Havasu

A few weeks ago, Stephanie and I (Cara) packed up the Yukon with chargers, cake, and our bags and we headed to Lake Havasu. It was our first wedding in the fine city of Havasu and although we didn't touch a boat (or anything Lake related), we did have a fabulous time working with Tammie and Jim on their wedding. It was such a personal event for them and we loved how everything turned out. The event took place at their newly built home and every detail was just beautiful, from her dress, to the flowers to the cake, it reflected Tammie's romantic style and the Lake backdrop did not disappoint. Alisha & Mitch - Sanctuary at Camelback Mountain Wedding

What can I say about Mitch and Alisha's wedding. Alisha is one of those people that just has a fantastic spirit. She has the best smile, a great attitude and she lives each moment to the fullest. Featured Wedding - Alexis & John

I am so absolutely excited to share these images! This spring, we had the opportunity to work with Alexis and John on thier wedding day. The first thing I can say is, Oh My Goodness, the dress! She had the most gorgeous Vera Wang gown and looked absolutely striking! The entire event from start to finish was a huge success. We are so so taken by the great images that were captured by CA photographers White Haute we just couldn't wait to share!

During dinner, we used couches, haybales and bistro lighting to transform the ceremony site into a lounge and reception area just in time for the party to begin!

It's True! I'm Blogging! Jessie & Avi's wedding...

So, it has obviously been awhile since I did a blog. OK, more than awhile. A Day to Cherish had our busiest fall wedding season ever, some major changes over the winter and another busy spring of amazing events. We have truly had some of the most wonderful weddings in the last 8 months and clients that I can't rave about enough. Wedding days are LONG days for us, but when you just love the couple....and even the entire family you are working with, it doesn't seem like work!

This is part of the reason I am so motivated to blog! Jessie and Avi were just one of those couples. Despite a last minute weather change to move the ceremony for almost 250 guests indoors, this was one of the most fun weddings of the spring! We loved the whole theme of the wedding, using Tangles as centerpieces and decor to tie into the abstract and artsy style of the Phoenix Art Museum all the way down to one of the BEST parties I have seen at a wedding. The Shining Star Band kept the ENTIRE crowd on thier feet until the last song and these amazing images from Stuart at Eyes 2 See Photography capture the mood, tradition, warmth and just plain fun of the entire day. It was such a pleasure for us to be a part of this wedding and work with a rockstar crew of vendors!

Featured Wedding - Liza & Peter

Back in April, Aleasha and I spent a wonderful day coordination the wedding of Liza & Peter at the Montelucia. Liza and Peter have the cutest story about how they met and are genuinely fun and classy people to be around. Liza came to us as a referal from one of our wonderful past clients (Thank you Melissa!) and we were so glad to have her as one of our brides. The staff at the Montelucia was outstanding and Easton Ashe provided a great night of music and dancing! What could top off a great night like this but a Julia Baker cake!  Check out some of these adorable photos from Mandy at Images by Reed.
