Scottsdale Civic Center Plaza: In love with love? Then, you’ll adore this area’s hallmark attraction — the LOVE sculpture! Fountains, ponds, flowers and lush greenery are also sprinkled across the park, and are perfect for a sweet romantic feel. You may want to schedule an early morning session if you stop here, as that’s when the plaza is least busy!
Papago Park: Scottsdale is known for its stunning red rock ranges, and this park is the ideal place to catch a glimpse of them! Strike a pose in front of one of the park’s stunning small lakes, or take a walk down one of the hidden bike paths. You may even spot a giant saguaro cactus! If you’re looking to change things up, the Phoenix Zoo is right around the corner, as well.
Desert Botanical Gardens: While you’re making your way around Papago Park, be sure to stop over at the Desert Botanical Garden! It’s an outdoor nature museum that’s filled with exotic desert plants and the most beautiful views. Truly a little slice of paradise!
TPC Scottsdale: Home to the WM Phoenix Open, one of the most renowned golf tournaments in the country, this course is packed full of history and gorgeous scenery — from rolling green hills to priceless views of the McDowell Mountains.
McDowell Sonoran Preserve: Our list simply wouldn’t be complete without a mention of this Scottsdale mainstay. If you’re looking to get away from the hustle & bustle of the cityscape, in exchange for a little peace and tranquility, this is the place to be. Most of all, it’s the perfect reflection of the natural beauty that makes this city so special. To capture that stunning desert glow, head up to the preserve at dusk, just as the sun is setting over the horizon.
